We have been gushing over Dark Time Sunshine’s LORE since its release earlier this year, an album that will likely not exit our rotation any time soon. DTS has killed the visuals to accompany the project and their latest may be the best yet. The Shawn Johnson directed piece for “The Rite Kids” dropped recently and it’s a gorgeous affair where Johnson takes various images of people and cuts up the faces into different pieces. The result gives them this look like they were ripped from a collage and inserted back in the wrong spots and his use of this is powerful.
The track featuring R.A.P. Ferreira and Homeboy Sandman speaks on how the brilliance of some kids can be overlooked by the things that make them different from “normal” kids. It’s one of the more poignant tracks on an album full of them and if you haven’t checked it out yet, now is a great time.
