In late October, we wrote on Lroc’s fantastic double album Luxury/ Trap where he showed off his versatility and ability to switch between traditional styles and modern flavors. Not showing any sign of slowing down, the Tacoma MC has dropped three singles already in 2021, all of which are red hot.
The opus to himself and appropriately titled “LROC” finds L spitting over a rumbling bassline and ghostly piano loop provided by the Grammy nominated Kid Culture. Guest Leon Phelps drops in on the hook to round out the high energy affair.
“Savage” is the latest one to drop and finds Lroc back on his trap steez along with Moneyseason 3rd as the two bounce pyrex bars off the other. It’s another great one with a thunderous beat from Dash Beats to get you motivated on your daily mission for whatever it is you are chasing.
My favorite though is “Crazy” which hit just a couple of weeks earlier. On this one, Lroc and Moneyseason Biggs slow it down and reflect on the ups and downs of a couple of cats trying to push through the bullshit. The beat from Tmak Da Producer perfectly compliments the message and is a prime example at L’s skill at choosing beats. Hit up Lroc and peep these joints out by following him below.
